Single but not available

Berita pelajar meninggal dunia akibat keguguran, benar-benar membuatku sedih. Bagai bunga sedang kembang tiba-tiba gugur ditiup bayu.

And I hate that!!!

A man needs a woman.A woman needs a man. It is a fact. In a relationship ( of course marriage) a man is the one who should be the breadwinner.(or the sole breadwinner). So if the wife does work, it is a bonus as to help the husband who is so-called the sole breadwinner. But what happen today, a woman is the sole breadwinner. There are many cases show that the husbands just stay at home doing nothing and do not willing to lend their hands in the chores. For the pensioners it is different since they still have income so they are not considered as irresponsible.

I believe that a wife is not that mean as to label her spouse an irresponsible person if the husband is a sensible person.Helping doing the chores means a lot to an exhausted sole breadwinner wife.A wife will understand if the husband cannot find a job due to unavoided reasons. But unfortunately most husbands today ( that I know )are so choosy as if they are the best so they must get the best job with the best pay eventhough the fact is they are the worst. When a man who is so-called a husband cum a sole breawinner has no pride, the woman will be the man, the father and the husband eventhough she is still a woman, a mother and a wife. So,for a long time, in present and future, a woman has to suffer with a deep wound inside her heart. As for the family, everything goes topsy-turvy!And I hate that!!!

The satan inside my house.

Where did you put the money? My daughter asked me when I told her that I lost my money again. This is actually the 8th time already within 3 months.Normally I lost RM50 note or RM10 note each time I noticed that my money was lost. There are only my two daughters and I in the family.I don't think that my daughters stole the money because they also lost theirs.I know the amount is small whether RM50 or RM10 but I cannot take it anymore.I really curious to know who the culprit is.Last week, I put my RM1000 in a sealed envelope. Then I hid it in a locked drawer.I left the key at school in my desk.To my astonishment,on Wednesday, when I checked, the money inside the sealed envelope locked in the drawer was only RM950!I lost RM50 again!I took the key back from school on that Wednesday itself so I could not believe my eyes.

Still wondering ,today I went to my mom's house.I did not tell anyone including my parents about the money been stolen. Then our neighbours came to visit my mom who was not feeling well. She had the same experience about the stolen money. She is quite an old lady and still believe in superstituous so she met a shaman. The shaman told her that the money was stolen by 'a black mysterious animal / insect'which is actually the satan. This satan has stolen money from the residents of my neighbourhood since March. We,my parents and I did not believe in superstituous. However I remember last week at 12.05 a.m. I tried to get rid of a big black fly which I found quite unusual with its big shiny eyes.It was at the living room and still there eventhough I use insecticides!

My neighbour said that the shaman suggested to use needle and thread in order to get rid of the satan in the shape of the black animal / insect.I know this sounds ridiculous but I got no other alternatives and I don't want to lose my money anymore. So tonight after writing this post, I will put a needle and thread in between my money.I want to laugh since it sounds funny but on the other hand I feel scared imagining that I might come across the satan inside my house!

I am not that lucky...

At this moment,I am sitting at the stadium with my students, the band girls, practising the songs for the coming event. The students reminded me of my school life when I was their age. My friends and I spent most our time together revising and discussing life. 13 May 1986, when I was in Form 5, my friends and I talked about our future, the career and family. One of my best friends told us that she wanted to be a full time housewife. She's a bright student so we regarded her dream to be a full time housewife was just a dream. Most of us, wanted to be a doctor,( the most famous) lawyer, businessman and even singer. So being a full time housewife is something without future.

Then, yesterday, when I went shopping with my eldest daughter, I met my long lost best friend who wanted to be a full time housewife. We talked a lot about our school and present life. She told me that she had achieved her dream to be a full time housewife.I did not know that she really meant it.However, I am happy for her since she is now a happy full time housewife and blessed with 3 sweet daughters and a handsome son.Whereas I am not that lucky....(p.s She looks much younger than me !)

Thank you for the present, Mahesan!

Once, I had a pet tortoise.I named him Kenit which means petite because of his size. When I furthered my studies, I left him with my mom. However, only after two months, he died.I was so sad because I love him so much and I tried to get one like him.Unfortunately until today, I am still searching. The ones sold in the pet shop are too different since they are mostly quite aggresive while my Kenit was so gentle and calm.

Then on the 16 May 2010, the Teacher's Day, I received a lot of presents. My daughters helped me to unwrap them. Most of the presents were jewelleries and picture frames.(Not to mentioned flowers and apples)Suddenly  my eyes laid on something so amazing!Wow!That was totally awesome!I love it so much!I took it up and put it on my palm.It was given by one of my KRK students. He chose the present as if he knew that I miss my Kenit so much.I named this wonderful little creature Kenit too as a remembrance of my late Kenit.I know that it is quite difficult for me to get another real Kenit so this present means so much to me. I hope the new Kenit can be my little darling forever like a music box given by another student on Teacher's Day 10 years ago.Oh yes, my new Kenit is like my two daughters and I without the father. However, last week my nephew dropped my new Kenit and one of her daughters lost her head. It's as if the little tortoise is hiding her head and it is like my youngest daughter who happens to be a very shy person.Whatever it is, thank you Mahesan for this wonderful Teacher's Day present.

May my baby rest in peace...

My beloved Dastan and his adopted mother,Ibu.

Today, as usual, I went out to see my beloved cats.(My cats stay outside the house ).I called their names one by one. Devotedly, they came to me and I patted them lovingly. Seeing their faces is like a remedy to me so without fail I pat and hug them first thing in the morning. While patting their heads gently I noticed that Ibu was not around. I combed the backyard then I found Ibu sitting with the baby, Dastan.I called his name but there was no response. I touched him and to my astonishment he is dead!I was so sad since he was the cutest among them all.He was the youngest and most adorable. I did not know what he was suffering from  that led to his death because yesterday he was still ok.He was like my own baby so I was as sad as doom.I hope I will get more babies as cute as my late Dastan since Winda is now expecting.I hope my little Dastan may rest in peace...

I hope so

Oh my God!Again?I heard that when she weighed her weight. She does not look that fat eventhough she is obese. She's obsessed to be thin so regardless of the mouth-watering food I prepare, she chooses to eat none.

Living in a luxurious country like Malaysia, lots of food to choose every day.Malay, Chinese, Indian, Western, Japanese, Italian bla bla bla  just name it and you get it.So the problem of getting obese is increasing. Then we can see on tv, via the internet, radio, newspaper etc the products that offer help to be thin.In the newspapers we can see a big, chubby, flabby lady ( eventhough looks like editted) becomes so thin with ideal figure like a model. A woman in baju kurung and tudung changes into someone still wearing tudung but no more baju kurung.Instead wearing tight and transparent kebaya and poses confidently.

Today, I checked my weight, Oh my God!I am in the same boat! Not that flabby but I am obese.I want to get my figure back. I want to wear my favourite clothes again. So today, I took a product and I hope it can help me to be slim as slim as the shaker that I used.Sorry, for feeling funny seeing those who obsessed to be thin before. However, I am sure that I am still me without tight or transparent kebaya.I hope so...

Ah!Anak-anak!Kau masih belum tahu putar belit dunia. Sekali kau jatuh cinta, hempedu kau rasa madu. Rupa tak seberapa pun kau rasa setampan Justin Bieber. Poket kosong pun tak apa, kerana kau sangup berkorban jiwa raga.

Timbul mentari embun pasti pergi. Tetapi ku bimbang cinta singgah setengah mati maka butalah mata, hilanglah kewarasan demi mempertahankan cinta idaman.Andai sungguh sang jejaka ikhlas, selamatlah anakku cinta berbalas.

Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad

  Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad

How time flies! It's already a week in holiday. A week more to go. So far, I've started with my hobbies, cross-stitching, reading, writing and of course blogging. It's only sewing which is not started yet. Perhaps this coming Wednesday. I can send the materials to tailors but I want to make my clothes myself. It's a satisfaction that I can't explain. It's like painting and once done it is so beautiful. Oh yes, my painting hobby is still not done.Perhaps not this holidays.

To tell the truth, I am chasing the time. I have to do lots of work that can't be delayed. Nothing can stop me but I'm afraid that my health problem will stop me to do what I have to. I can only pray that I still have the time to do all. Holidays is indeed the time for me to try recipes. There are many local delicacies that will drive away  my diet. Roti canai, nasi lemak, lontong, laksam, roti jala, vadei, chapatti etc. are some of them. The one that I like most is heart tart; a tart in the shape of heart.

My health asked me to stop so I have to call it a day now.Hope tomorrow I will be better and can write more since I have a lot of things to share.Thank you for reading.

A phantom or a fantasy?

Speak softly love and hold me warm
against your heart
I feel your words
the tender trembling moment starts
We're in a world
our very own
sharing our love that only few
have ever known.
Wine-coloured days warmed by the sun
Deep velvet nights
when we are one
Speak softly love
so no one hears us but the sky
The vows of love we make
will live until we die
My life is yours
and al because
you came into my world with love
so softly love

Love that people believe is a word that sounds so sweet but yet delicate. It is wonderful and also delightful. People go for love.People fight for love.People also willing to die for love.It never considered the difference whether in race nor beliefs.  Love can give you everything. It can protect you and make you happy.

Love that I believe is a word as cunning as a fox. It kills happiness in its smiles. It is a fantasy and yet a phantom. It haunts my life as mean as a miser. It cuts my heart as sharp as a thistle. The poison  traps me inside. It is bitter but tastes like honey. So until today, it is still a mystery.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Bird

I like the nature and I love gardening. So when I am free, I like to do gardening. I like colourful and beautiful flowers.I really like the idea of having birds chirping happily on my beautiful plants.I enjoy listening to their cheerful songs.I really hope that the birds would come to my garden and build their nests on my plants.Unfortunately, I don't have green fingers since most of the plants I planted could only survive for less than 2 months. Besides, I am quite busy with my job.I was quite sad at first since I could expect that no birds would sing for me without the beautiful flowers or plants.

To kill my disappoinment and to give colours to my house, I bought artificial orchids and leaves. There were 6 different colours for 6 flowerpots. I arranged the flowers with love poured from my heart.I said to myself' How beautiful it is if a bird could come and build nest on the plants. Then, one day, early in the morning, I heard happy chirping outside the house. I went out to see and I noticed that 2 small but beautiful birds flying and chirping around one of my artificial flowers in the flowerpot.I thought they came for nectar so I entered the house feeling funny ( and pity since there was no nectar in the flowers)

For the whole week the two birds kept coming and this time I realised that they did not come for nectar but they wanted to build their nest. I followed the process of the nest building until it was almost done.Unfortunately, one day, one of my beloved cats, Milo, saw the birds and he jumped high up trying to catch them.Perhaps the birds were terrified so they never came back.I was as sad as doom.Nothing could be done to make them come back and I could not put the blame on Milo, my cat. However, I thank God for making my wish came true.I hope the birds and their babies could fly high up in the sky.Thank you for dropping by Mr and Mrs Bird.

I'm sorry Mrs Spider

Arachnid - any small creature of the class that includes spiders, scorpions, mites and ticks. Arachnid + phobia - a strong unreasonable fear or hatred of arachnid. Many people do not like spiders. Me too. I thought it was scary with its hairy legs and ugly appearance. Whenever I saw it, I would try to shoo it away. Its presence would make me feel unsecure. I felt like killing it each time I saw it appeared in front of me.

One day ( about a fortnight ago ) I entered the toilet then I saw a spider tried to hide behind the door. I poured water on it and used any means to make it go away. I saw that it tried to spin its web.I looked closer... oh dear! It was a five-legged spider. It was as devoted as a mother.Despite all the means I did to make it go away, the spider still stay behind the door in the toilet until today. It makes me realise that regardless of all the bad means I did to make it go away, it still survive.I was indeed a bad person. But ' It is never too late to mend' as the saying goes.

Today, it becomes my friend since I learn to be more patient and accept my shortcomings. I hope she knows ( it's going to have babies ) that I  say : I'm sorry Mrs Spider

Can't take my eyes off you 1

My dear darling, I don't know how to spin the yarn that I love you so much. You whet my curiosity about life, about myself. You always save my neck and make my life plain sailing.Whenever I need you, you always on your toes to get rid of my foes.I used to be a broken reed when you come to fulfill my need. You fight tooth and nail without taking your heels.

My dear darling, you never touch me on the raw when I am on my last legs. You never turn your back upon me when I am with my back to the wall. You help me in my job until I know the rope. You are the salt of the earth and you give your life so I might live. You are all the world to me.You help me to be quick in the uptake. You inspire me to be in high feather. You are my love, my darling forever ; my dear d i c t i o n a r y

What is Bio Disc?

The Bio Disc is a natural energy generating device that produces SCALAR energy frequencies that have no negative side effects.
The energy created specifically rejuvenates molecular structures in all liquids.
The molecular structure causes any liquid to become more hydratious, taste better and extend shelf life.
Testimonial from Julie Ying, Singapore

Why did I buy Bio Disc?

Because of my breathing problem. They said the disc can create energy and can maybe help me solve it. So I bought one and tried it.

One day while sitting down and reading my newspaper, I suddenly felt very uncomfortable. I couldn't breathe and so I used the disc and placed it on my chest, slowly feel better.

I drink the Bio water everyday and place the disc under my bed every night. When I wake up in the morning my body feels very light & fresh. I also had backache and skin problems. During the night when I sleep, my skin always felt very itchy. Now, my backache problem is much better and my skin no longer feels itchy and has become smooth. Also my breathing problem has been solved.

I can feel it improving my health.

Thank you.

Testimonial from Ivy How, Singapore
Why did I buy this Bio Disc?

I bought it for my mum to use

Problems:
Because both my mother’s legs get cramps every morning and her palms are always cold like ice. She always gets a sore throat and ulcers in her mouth. She doesn’t like to drink water because she doesn’t like the taste of the water. Every night her skin feels itchy and she will scratch herself.

Results:
After using Bio Disc for 2 months, she doesn’t feel her legs cramp as often. Now her palms feel warm and she doesn’t get sore throats and ulcers in her mouth. She now drinks a lot of water everyday because she finds that water tastes better and her skin doesn’t feel itchy anymore.

The Bio Disc is made of 13 TECHNICALLY ENGINEERED natural minerals
A NANO FUSION process using several high heat fusion methods, structurally bonds the minerals together, at a molecular level.
The combination of the minerals and the fusion techniques produces a catalytic conversion of energy known as “Scalar Energy”.
This 21st century technology develops a long lasting natural scalar resonance which has the ability to be transferred to any liquid, renewing the natural molecular chains.
How does the energy transfer to the water using the Bio Disc?

The Bio Disc energy spins into the liquid, counter clockwise,
or the liquid can be poured over the bio disc where it ‘picks up’the resonance.
The resonance generated is similar to that which is found in the earth surrounding many healing spring waters of the world.

Chi Pendant is an advanced, mineral-based disc made from high-temperature nano-engineered glass which has a positive energy field. With the Chi Pendant, the body rhythmus achieves a sense of balance and harmony.

Benefits
Improves the harmony and energy levels of the users.
Help your body achieve holistic wellness and improve your mental processeses by stimulating your brain.
Emmits scalar energy which can help the cells of th body to return to the RYTHM of LIFE and regain the ability to repair themselves.
Protects them from electro-smog. Tests done have shown that Chi-Pendant is able to convert the usually negative effects of e-smog into positive effects.

The electro-smog is the result of the magnetic fields created by electronic equipments of our environment, such as mobile phones, computers, micro-waves oven, lightings, air-conditioners, etc.

Lab Tests
The effects of electro-smog were tested on people with and without the Chi Pendant.

Dr Manfred Doepp at the Holistic Center in Germany used meridian diagnostics to measure the test results. The test shows that the Chi Pendant is able to shield users from the negative effects of electro-smog. Test result also shows that when the Chi Pendant is held by the testers, there is an improvement in harmony and energy levels. Dr. med. Manfred Doepp is a member of the Board of the German Society for Energy and Information Medicine e.V., Stuttgart. He is also a reviewer of the following societies: International Society on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, and International Society on Computer, Communication and Control Technologies.

Tests run by the PROGNOS machine has shown that the Chi Pendant possesses a positive energy field. Results from the system have shown that after wearing the pendant, the tester's energy levels has increased and disharmony of his meridian system is reduced. PROGNOS is a diagnostic and therapy system based on Traditional Medicine which uses a painless method to create a picture of the energetic state of the body. This is measured through the subject's meridian system, or the energy courses of the human body. PROGNOS and its manufacturer MedPrevent has been accredited with EC and ISO certifications by the EUROCAT Institute for Certification and Testing.

The Amezcua Bio Disc has been evaluated and certified by the following institutions:

I.H.M. Institute, Japan

Research has pointed that there is a correlation between the formation of water crystals and the quality of water, in terms of degree of pollution. In recent I.H.M institute research, it became clear that energy can affect the formation of the water crystal. Thus, the water crystal formation reflects not only physical but informational or energetic aspect of the water. Water samples with a good balance of minerals and energy tend to produce beautifully-formed crystals.

A water crystal experiment done at the institute has shown that water treated with Amezcua Bio Disc produces more beautiful and good water crystals as compared to normal distilled water. The treated water also has less "depressed" water crystals.

The I.H.M. Institute in Japan was founded by Dr Masaru Emoto, a Doctor of Alternative Medicine. Dr Emoto achieved international acclaim through his extensive research of water around the world. He is also the President Emeritus of the International Water for Life Foundation.

Dr. med. Manfred Doepp, Germany

The effects of Amezcua Bio Disc on the quality of water and the bio-energetic state of the human body are tested by Dr Manfred Doepp at the Holistic Center in Germany, using meridian diagnostics. The test result shows that Amezcua Bio Disc has a successful operational area in the energetic-informational treatments of liquids and water containing nutrients.

The result shows that the Amezcua Bio Disc is able to convert the negative effects of tap water into positive effects. Water treated with the Amezcua Bio Disc has an increased level of energy and harmony. Test results also reveal that when the Amezcua Bio Disc is held by the testers, their energy and harmony levels showed a significant increase.

PSB Laboratory, Singapore

The results show, after treatment by Amezcua Bio Disc, surface tension value of the treated water has been reduced. Reduced surface tension renders the water more bio-available, thus improving the transfer of nutrients in and out through the walls of the cells.

PSB test reports are widely recognised by manufacturers, third party buyers and government authorities in Singapore. Its laboratories are also accredited under the Singapore Accreditation Council - Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SINGLAS) to ISO17025.

Aku rindu padamu...

Penat berlari, perut diisi.Ubi rebus sambal tumis, pulut tanak, kopi manis.

Masa pantas berlari pergi. Ahh!Hujan ( Aku rindu padamu)

Me?A vampire?

The story about ghosts, reminded me of what my student said last thursday."Teacher! Why do you have fangs?" "What?"I was at my wit's end.The question took my breath away.I asked him what he meant and he told me that he saw fangs in my mouth and I grinned at him.I said I didn't grin at him at all since I was looking at someone else. The idea of me having fangs made my hair standing on end!I asked him whether he was pulling my leg and he said "no".He said he did see the fangs but they disappeared when I started talking to him.My blood ran cold when I heard his words.Thinking that the boy had castle in the air, I left the class.

On the next day, I entered the same class to see the boy. I forgot to ask his name but I could still remember his face.I asked the students there if there's any absentees and they said no so until today I don't know who I talked to...Me?Vampire?Still a mystery.

Was it really a GHOST?

Hantu kum-kum, pocong, balan-balan, pontianak, penanggal, orang minyak, toyol, kuntilanak, sundel bolong, dracula,tuju-tuju, poltergiest, hantu raya, zombie and hantu cina are example of ghosts known by many people.Do they really exist? Well, I would like to share my experience which happened 2 months ago.

To tell the truth, I did not believe any ghost myself until one day... It was 6.46 p.m.I was on duty to lock the back gate of my school. Students went home at 6.40 p.m. so no one was around at the gate. I walked fast since I planned to go home early. It was Thursday and The Malays believe that on ' malam jumaat'( thursday's night) there are many ghosts around.  I tried to lock the gate but unfortunately the key fell off my hands. While I was picking  the key up, I saw a figure was grinning at me. I was really thunder struck! It was only 2 metres away in front. It was only 1 metre tall, bald, with red big eyes, sharp teeth and my God It's green, as green as grass! The creature wore short black faded short with no shirt.I thought someone tried to monkey about with it so as brave as Achilles, I walked fast to it and grabbed its hand.It was really the skeleton at the feast because it disappeared right under my nose!None to speak of!

Then, I picked up the key and locked the gate. I tried to comb out the place because I still did not believe my eyes. But I found nothing. I knew that if I tell others, no one would believe me so I hushed it up until today. Was it really a ghost?I don't know...

I AM SORRY!!!

Here I am again after a very busy week.Thank God that I could finish all my work before the due date so I can do my hobbies the whole holidays.(Hmmm....Can't wait to draw/paint,write,read,sew,cross-stitch and go blogging.

It's quite difficult to explain my feelings today.Happy and sad;blended.I am happy because  today I could attend my friend's wedding.People showed happiness everywhere and smiles on every face. Lots of delicious food enough for everyone.Today, too, my younger brother and his whole family arrived from Shah Alam spending the weekends with our parents. We had BBQ happily. Lots of mouth-watering food, more than enough for everyone.

Today,I turned on the tv and I saw the news about Palestine /gaza. Not enough food for people to eat.The rights are denied by Isreal.People show hatred and anger.People urge to ban Israel's products etc.I strongly believe that the life is so hard. There is no or perhaps less weddings with delicious food. There is no BBQ with mouth-watering delicacies.Maybe there are people who are starving. Many people are dying. And pretty sure there are lots of cries and wails and shouts.

Today, at the wedding, I saw many people took lots of food but did not finish them.Later, to be eaten by the dustbin.Today, at my parents' place, my nieces and nephews ate the food but still lots were not eaten. Perhaps still ok until tomorrow or be eaten by the dustbin too. Here, my cats and kitten are hugged and loved by my whole family. No one is allowed to hurt them. But there, in Gaza, humans are treated like animals.
My heart is sad but I am bad because I still like 'The Nanny'....I AM SORRY!!!

A cat is a human, a human is a cat.

Today, I read about a baby being stepped by her mother in China. I don't know what to say since mothers should be rich with love. It reminded me of my cats ( I have 7 cats ;Ibu,Winda, Bayu, Panji, Kiah,Milo and the baby,Dastan.Opps!Plus one named Tompok, my adopted cat, which came to my house  2 months ago looking for food )

Last month,Winda gave birth to 3 cute babies.Winda is still so young and she doesn't really know how to take care of her babies.Ibu, the eldest also gave birth to 3 little kittens;immature.Ibu's babies could not survive thus making Ibu behaved like a mother suffering from post natal syndrome. Then after 2 days, to my astonishment, Ibu breast fed Winda's babies.Winda left the babies all to Ibu. It's like a deal since Ibu breast fed them but Winda cleaned the babies. After a month, only a baby survived ( Dastan ) and Ibu still breast feeds him.

If a cat, an animal can show the love towards the little ones, why not us human being? I believe no beliefs allow us ( the followers) to ill-treat our own flesh and blood. Whatever it is, blood is thicker than water so how deep the hatred is, there is no reason for us to step on or abuse our own children. They are precious gifts given by God.So love them.Be a 'cat's mother ( like Ibu)' because we don't want to see one day 'a cat is a human but a human is a cat'(Or don't want to see anymore since it has already happenend in China before)

Sigh...

Just drop by to say hello.Got so many tasks to do. Suddenly I feel that 24 hours is too short.I wonder how women years ago spent their time.Full time housewife. As for me, I have to be a housewife, an employee, a mother, a counselor, a friend etc.
Got to go now and I hope that by next week I can spend my time doing my hobbies. Holidays.....can't wait for you.

2 Bougainvillea .....that I know

Today, I entered my 2 Bougainvillea class proudly. My students fetched me on my way to their class so that I would not lose my way since they used another class today. One offered help to bring my bag while others waited for me at the door happily. I knew that they were eager to know their English marks. To tell the truth, normally I mark the best class first but for this exams I marked 2 Bou's first.I knew that they had put enough effort not to get the A but to pass. ( Their TOV is : no one passed the end of 2009 exams) So,when they knew that 52% of them passed the paper, they were so happy. I know that each time I enter the class, they make noise ( laughters, questions etc) but I realise that they are learning.I had to answer lots of questions regarding the marks and the exams.

Some of the boys sang happily while the girls kept smiling.I knew that they made deafening noise because they were happy. I am pretty sure, God willing, if they still have the positive learning attitudes, 100% can pass the paper. I know that many teachers are happy with the best class. They will go for lots of As.But for me helping the happy faces with less hope to get A, to pass the exams will make me so happy.I felt like crying today seeing how these ,not so bright students showed broad smiles on their faces. I hope that this end of year examination, I can help them to get C or B.To my 2 Bou who had already got B, congratulations and always remember that you are as clever as KRK too. Congratulation to Azizi Nixon, Pavitra, Deva, Shan, Malini, Neswari, Haliza, Halijah, Syahid, Shahrizan, Hariss, Harith, for showing the best attitutes in my class. May God bless you all.

A A A A A A A A ?

Today, I told my students the marks that they may ( I only told them paper 1 mark) get for the mid-year exams. I noticed that most of them were happy since they knew that they could get an A. However, I saw a girl was crying at the corner. I asked her the mark that she got. She said she got 35.( 40 is the full mark) Then I asked why she cried. She said that with that mark she was pretty sure that she could not get 95 or above. Her parents would scold her and even deny her allowances for a month. I said perhaps her parents said that just to boost her spirit in getting A.She told me that it it happened when she was in year 6.She got 94 and her parents stopped her allowance for a month.

I was really speechless since I think that was too much.I could only console the girl ( who is actually the first in the batch ranking)I am a parent myself. Yes, I want my children to excel.I want my children to get all As.But I will not force them to get the most perfect A (95-100).If they can get that mark, for me it is a bonus. My student reminded me of quite a number of committing suicide cases which happen not only to secondary students but also to the primary ones ( age between 7 - 12).It is really an agony seeing my students suffer due to their own parents who I think are selfish. Each student has own strengths and weaknesses so we ( parents or teachers ) cannot force them to achieve what we want. Getting an A ( not to say the perfect A ) is mandatory for a student to succeed.

Education in Malaysia is totally exam-oriented ( in my opinion) so parents force the children to compete not  just for the sake of self-achievement but merely due to parents' pride. Students are sent to tuition ( at least 3 subjects).Students have a lot of homework to attend to. Students need to attend the religious school as well.Students need to 'bring' A A A A A A A A ( 8A for lower secondary school).I am so sad seeing that students nowadays ( I am talking about my students )have no time for TV or spending the time during weekends with friends cycling ( just to mention one favourite pastimes when I was their age) etc. I do agree that getting lots of A is very important but do pity our children.80 or 90 both are A so I think parents must be proud enough of their children if they can get 80.

In a nutshell, I whole-heartedly plead to parents out there to trust their children.Let them paint their own lives. Guide them but never force them.Always be the shoulder to cry on so that no other young generation will commit suicide just because not getting any A or getting 'not a perfect 'A. To my dear students : Always trust yourself that you can do your best.GOOD LUCK AND LOVE YOU ALL.

Gurindam Jiwa

Tuai padi antara masak,
Esok jangan layu-layuan;
Intai kami antara nampak,
Esok jangan rindu-rinduan.

Anak cina pasang lukah,
Lukah dipasang di Tanjung Jati;
Di dalam hati tidakku lupa,
Sebagai rambut bersimpul mati.

Batang selasih permainan budak,
Daun selasih dimakan kuda;
Becerai kasih talak tiada,
Seribu tahun kembali juga.

Burung merpati terbang seribu,
Hinggap seekor di tengah laman;
Hendak mati dihjung kuku,
Hendak berkubur di tapak tangan.

Kalau tuan mudik ke hulu,
Carikan saya bunga kemboja;
Kalau tuan mati dahulu,
Nantikan saya di pintu syurga

How beautiful the song is. I can't remember when I start listening to the Malay oldies. I like to watch old movies so much since I was 6 or 7 especially Tan Sri P.Ramlee's movies. For me, the songs in those movies are so beautiful.I like them so much. For example Perigi Biru, Nak Dara Rindu, Getaran Jiwa etc.As a Malay I strongly believe that by listening and watching these oldies, we can always be reminded of our root as a Malay. Yes, we can live a modern life but we have to always remember that we should love our culture.

It is not a doubt that we cannot wear or talk like the ones we listen or watch in the oldies. However, we can learn to be more gentle, patient, loving etc as shown since those qualities are very important for a Malay. Thus it is a sad thing if the Malay youngsters nowadays regard the oldies as something behind the time.So for you, readers, do listen, watch and love our oldies so that we can nurture the love too in our future generation.May the next generation know and love their root as Hang Tuah once said ' Takkan Melayu Hilang di Dunia"

Gurindam Jiwa

BETAPA AKU BENCI PADAMU!!!!

Wujudnya hanya seolah luka disiram cuka.Bagiku tiada yang lebih hina dari dirimu.Kau pemusnah.Kaulah musuh.Miskin, kaya, tua, muda semua menganggapmu sama.Sebagai makhluk paling durjana.

Jika aku punya keajaiban, telah lama kau ku musnahkan. Tak perlu tunggu jatuh hukum, oleh ulama mahu pun hakim. Ku siat-siat tubuhmu.Ku kerat-kerat,hancur menjadi debu. Kaulah musuh negara pemusnah bangsa.Anak kecil pun cuba kau dekati.Apatah lagi si tua hampir mati. Berkawan denganmu seolah nikmat meskipun semua tahu ia hanya sesaat.

Sungguh lancang kau berjuang.Mempertahankan diri dari dikhianati.Meskipun semua tahu siapa dirimu tetapi masih juga dikau dicari. Musnahlah segera wahai musuh negara.Nyahlah kau dengan segera.Menyebut namamu pun aku benci apatah lagi untuk mendekati.

Andai aku seorang pemimpin, membenci mu akan segera ku kempen. Kau pemusnah, kau musuh, kau hina, kau segalanya.Gambarmu dengan tubuh berkecai akan ku bingkai.Agar semua tahu kaulah itu.Musuh negara nombor satu.

Cis!Berani kau membela dirimu sendiri.Seolah-olah aku yang salah.Telah terang lagi bersuluh bahawa kau sememangnya musuh.Telah jemu aku mendengar alasan hingga aku benar-benar bosan.Nyahlah segera kerana aku terpaksa mengaku BETAPA AKU BENCI PADAMU.

(AMARAN YANG HANYA MENJADI MAINAN : MEROKOK MEMBAHAYAKAN KESIHATAN)

Mendung Tak Berlalu

Hazrul mengayuh basikalnya laju-laju.Baginya debu merah berterbangan itu bukan penghalang.Hazrul ingin segera sampai di rumah.Kiut basikal tua peninggalan gemulah bak, makin kuat kedengaran.

Hazrul menyeka airmatanya. Seolah-olah terngiang-ngiang suara bak mengaji.

Bak masih muda benar. Seingat Hazrul umur bak tak sampai pun lima puluh. Hazrul ponteng bukan kerana malas.Hazrul juga ponteng bukan kerana jemu.Apatah lagi kerana bencikan sekolah.Tetapi Hazrul ponteng kerana bengkak bernanah di kaki bak.

Masih jelas di mata Hazrul, wajah sayu cikgu Joleha.Bagai ada keinsafan dalam dirinya.

"Lihatlah cikgu!Inilah rumah saya.

"Mulanya Pak Leh terpijak paku belakang rumah. Pak Leh dah pupuk dengan bawang tumbuk bubuh minyak masak.Biasanya sekejap saja dah kebah tapi tau-tau, makin membusung nanah," ma seka airmata yang mula mengalir laju.

"Mak cik tak bawa ke hospital?"soal cikgu Joleha sambil matanya terus terpaku ke kaki bak yang besar macam batang balak. Luka terpijak paku, tak kelihatan namun kaki bak yang membiru bengkak bernanah memang telah parah.

"Macam mana makcik nak bawa?

Terkekeh senang adik Soh memegang senapang hitam merah pemberian cikgu Joleha.Senapang kayu buatan bak, adik Soh campak entah ke mana.

"Ah!Adik Soh belum mengerti,"desis hati Hazrul.

Ma sendiri bagai ingin menyembah cikgu Joleha atas pemberian mesin jahit cap Singer.

"Senanglah makcik nak ambil upah menjahit," kata cikgu Joleha.

Hazrul melangkah satu-satu.Kertas di tangan Hazrul genggam erat-erat. Hazrul ingin sampaikan berita paling gmbira buat ma. Kertas putih yang tercatat nama Mohd Hazrulhisham bin Salleh dengan catatan A A A A A A A A bagi tiap satu pelajaran, ingin Hazrul persembahkan pada ma.

Tiada jawapan.Senyap.

"Ma!Adik Ja!" Hazrul melaung lagi. Juga senyap. Jam pemberian cikgu Joleha menunjukkan pukul sepuluh pagi. Masih awal benar. Ke mana ma?Ke mana adik Ja?Ke mana adik Na dan adik Soh?Hati Hazrul mulai rusuh.

Perlahan-lahan daun pintu rumah, hazrul kuakkan. Tiada siapa di dalam. Senyap.Sunyi.

Hazrul merebahkan diri kembali. Gambar bak Hazrul dakap erat-erat.

"Hazrul!Hazrul!" Kedengaran nama Hazrul dilaung. Hazrul segera bingkas.

"Oh!Pak Cu Da! Naiklah," Hazrul masih riang.

"Tak payahlah Hazrul.Cuma ..."
